We're Back!

After a long summer blogging hiatus, I am back and ready to share some photos and tales of our summer and fall adventures. I will be posting more in the next few days/weeks.

It was a very long summer, 17 weeks to be exact, since the kids' permanent school site was under construction. The kids finally went back to school on September 21 and we are all trying to adjust to the new schedule after a relaxing summer.

Jack and Olivia on the first day of school.

Fall means gymnastics competition season
for Olivia. She is competing for Apex All Stars at level 5 again this season and is off to a strong start after 2 meets. We have meets every weekend except 1 between now and December. So much for free time...

Jack started flag football this year and seems to be having a good time. He is especially pleased that his sister has to come and watch him, along with the rest of us, since he has had to endure so many "boring" gymnastics meets. Ahh, paybacks....

Just had a nice visit from G'ma and G'pa Toporski. Got in a bit of big city shopping and a trip to Black Hawk for some gambling. Needless to say, we did not strike it rich, but dad did win enough to cover the buffet!

Date night! Well, ok not exactly, a business awards dinner for the Oil and Gas industry. No pizza and no kids, fun night all in all. Only downfall - seems I can run 20 miles in running shoes just fine, but 10 minutes in my black patent leather pumps - blisters!!! Not exactly good for my marathon training program...
