Two very special "Things"... Thanks to Aunt Marcy and Uncle Todd (and their trip to Disney/Universal Studios) Jack and Olivia have morphed into "Thing 1" and "Thing 2". I sense a theme for next Halloween... can you visualize Brian as the Cat in the Hat??? I will start the search for the tights!

Finally - Jack's hockey gear arrived!!! I was getting tired of hearing, "Mom - do you think it will be here today?" ten times a day, every day for the last week and a half. It only took us about an hour to figure out how to put it all on and he was thrilled. He could not move, but he did not care. As you can see, he was all grins:) We managed to get it all on before dad came home from work so Jack could surprise him when he walked in the door. Apparently, Jack was most excited about the athletic cup sewn into the hockey shorts, because the first thing he said when Brian walked in the door was "Hey Dad, you can punch me down here, feel how hard it is!" Brian was slightly stunned...

The first official "Little Wranglers" hockey practice is Friday night. After a year of having to cart Olivia to and from gymnastics practice on Friday nights, they changed her schedule recently and we finally had our Friday nights free again . Well that lasted all of a few weeks, and now we have hockey. We were kind bummed until Brian found out that the upper level of the new ice rink houses a
Mexican restaurant/sports bar, complete with big screen
TV's,
wi-
fi and full, heated(yes that is very
important) viewing areas of the rinks below. Brian has "volunteered" to cover hockey duty, gee I wonder why??? Even without the beer and nachos, it should be a hoot to watch!
